Linda Brown

QUALIFICATIONS
Linda Brown is Vice President for Strategic Planning practices at Management Resource Group, a Nashville-based consulting firm. She serves Seamless Strategy as an adjunct consultant, with a friendship and business relationship lasting many years. Ms. Brown brings to her position over twenty years of expertise in providing strategic marketing services and business planning support for companies in both technology and services industries. Her experience provides unparalleled breadth and depth of knowledge in management practices; her competence reflects real-time execution of management agendas across a wide array of businesses and marketplaces.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS
During her career, Ms. Brown has been responsible for critical tasks such as restructuring, downsizing, and integrating new acquisitions. As a part of the planning process, she routinely dealt with the need to redesign organizational systems and change the cultural environment. The extent of her work with strategic planning, marketing, organizational design, and professional productivity is nothing short of extraordinary, encompassing full-scale corporate assessments, detailed templates for key corporate management tools, communications and morale-building plans and kits, and the authorship and execution of critical pieces of corporate accountability, succession and marketing efforts.

Training has always been a key aspect of Ms. Brown’s work. She has delivered training in a variety of formats and situations for all levels of management. Much of Ms. Brown’s training was directed at executive managers for large companies, and she was often asked to provide consultation at the highest levels of management. She is the author of two books on executive management and is expert in utilizing multi-media to turn abstract management theory into useful, actionable tools for real people.

Prior to MRG, Linda was an Account Director for Hi-Tech Communications and Marketing Manager for Enable Software in San Francisco, California. While there, she conducted competitive research and industry analyses as the basis for developing business strategies, product marketing efforts, and communication campaigns. Linda’s career also encompasses three years at Booz, Allen & Hamilton, the New York-based management consulting firm, and eight years as Director of Development for an international relief agency operating in more than 100 countries. Some of her many accomplishments while at these organizations include providing positioning strategies, managing a product through an extensive life cycle, managing a consulting firm for increased productivity and responsiveness, and utilizing media and marketing resources and ideas for fundraising in the non-profit environment.

EDUCATIONAL AND ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Ms. Brown holds an M.B.A. with emphasis in strategic planning from the University of California at Berkeley. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and psychology from Vanderbilt University. Her education includes two years of study in German at the Universitat Wien in Vienna, Austria.
